The Gruta

We went into a cave, where native Brazilians used to live a long, long time ago. A really long time ago. Then we saw monkeys, that said "Maaa, maaa, maaa". We also played in the playground there!

School

The school was different because there was no fire and lockdown practice. Everyone walks to the school, there's no bus. It went from Kindergarten all the way up to high school.

Dowtown Santa Cruz

We went to one of our Brazilian friends' office. He's a dentist, his name is Alex. Next we went to the Prefeitura, where we did a video about the paralelepipidos. Those are square stones that are used to make the road. They are like cobblestones. Then we went to the flower shop. They have a big refrigerator like a big room for flowers. Then we had ice cream at Castelinho.

Soccer in Brazil

Today I played soccer. In Brazil they call it football (futebol). I got a Brazilian soccer shirt for a team called Gremio. They play in Porto Alegre. Brazilians love soccer.

Churrasco

This is a Churrasco. It's kind of different from American barbecue. There's something called a spit (espeto). It was very tasty. Lots of Brazilians eat this on the weekend.

How to go sledding in Brazil

The Butcher Shop

The butcher shop is small, and it's different from stores at home. They only have one register! The meat doesn't come in packages.
